Ingredients

Scale

  • 1 cup carrots (sliced into 1/4-inch pieces)
  • 1 cup celery (sliced into 1/4-inch pieces)
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 1 cup frozen corn
  • 2 ½ cups chicken stock
  • 1 ½ tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tsp kosher salt
  • ¾ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 2 tbsp butter

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add chopped carrots and celery; sauté until tender.
  2. Gradually stir in chicken stock while whisking to avoid lumps. Mix cornstarch with cold water to create a slurry and add it to the saucepan.
  3. Season with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder; cook until thickened.
  4. Remove from heat, fold in chopped turkey, peas, and corn until well combined.
  5. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Pour filling into a baking dish and cover with rolled-out puff pastry, sealing the edges.
  6. Bake for approximately 35 minutes or until the pastry is golden brown.
