  • 1 lb chicken Chicken Italian sausage
  • 5 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 large white onion, diced
  • 3 cups crushed tomatoes
  • 2 cups tomato sauce
  • 4 cups whole milk ricotta cheese
  • 8 oz soft mozzarella cheese, torn into pieces
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 lb lasagna noodles

Instructions

  1. In a large Dutch oven, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sauté diced onion and minced garlic until softened.
  2. Add ground beef and chicken sausage; cook until browned.
  3. Stir in crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, tomato paste, brown sugar, salt, pepper, basil, Italian seasoning, fennel seeds, and red pepper flakes. Simmer for at least 1.5 hours.
  4. Preheat your oven to 375°F.
