Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 medium yellow onion (diced)
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 24 ounces marinara sauce
  • 25 ounces frozen cheese ravioli (do not thaw)
  • 2 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese (divided)
  • ¼ cup shredded Parmesan cheese
  • 14.5 ounces canned diced tomatoes (drained)
  • Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown the ground beef, onion, and garlic until the beef is fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
  2. Stir in marinara sauce, drained diced tomatoes, and Italian seasoning. Simmer for about 5–7 minutes until slightly thickened; season with salt and pepper.
  3. Spray the inside of a slow cooker with cooking spray. Begin layering by adding 1 cup of meat sauce at the bottom.
  4. Top with half of the frozen ravioli followed by 2 cups of meat sauce and 1 ¼ cups mozzarella cheese. Repeat with remaining ingredients and finish with Parmesan on top.
  5. Place a double layer of paper towel under the slow cooker lid to catch moisture while cooking.
  6. Cover and cook on low for about 3 to 4 hours until heated through.
  7. Let rest for 15–20 minutes before slicing and serving.
