  • 1 pound flank steak
  • ⅓ cup beef broth
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 large onion (sliced thin)
  • 1 large red bell pepper (sliced thin)
  • 1 large green bell pepper (sliced thin)
  • Optional: sesame seeds and sliced green onion for garnish

Instructions

  1. Slice the flank steak into thin strips against the grain.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together beef broth, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, cornstarch, garlic, and ginger until combined.
  3. Heat olive oil in a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat. Stir-fry the beef for about 3-5 minutes until browned; remove from pan.
  4. In the same pan, stir-fry onions for 2 minutes; add bell peppers and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until tender-crisp.
  5. Return the cooked beef to the pan and pour in the sauce mixture. Stir well and cook for another minute until heated through.
  6. Serve hot with rice or noodles, garnished with sesame seeds and green onion if desired.
