  • 1½ cups (3 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
  • ⅔ cup light brown sugar (packed)
  • ⅓ cup dark brown sugar (packed)
  • ¼ cup sweetened condensed milk
  • ¾ cup all-purpose flour (heat-treated)
  • 3½ cups powdered sugar
  • ¼ cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 cup mini chocolate chips
  • 68 Oreo cookies (roughly chopped)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking sheet.
  2. In one bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix buttermilk, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla until combined.
  4. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry mixture; stir until just combined.
  5. Mix in granulated sugar, brown sugars, and hot coffee until smooth.
  6. Pour batter into prepared baking sheet and bake for about 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Cool the cake completely before preparing the frosting.
  8. For the frosting, beat softened butter with sugars until fluffy; add condensed milk and heat-treated flour until smooth.
  9. Mix in powdered sugar, heavy cream, vanilla extract, salt, chocolate chips, and chopped Oreos.
  10. Frost the cooled cake evenly with the cookie dough frosting.
