  • 12 lasagna noodles
  • 16 oz ground beef
  • 24 oz marinara sauce
  • 15 oz ricotta cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 3 cups mozzarella cheese (shredded)
  • 1/4 cup parmesan cheese (shredded)
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 3 garlic cloves (minced)
  • Fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F. Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions; drain and cool.
  2. In a deep pan over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Add diced onion and garlic; sauté until softened. Stir in marinara sauce and simmer briefly.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, egg, parmesan cheese, mozzarella cheese (reserve some), and parsley; mix well.
  4. Spread cooked noodles on a baking sheet. Layer each noodle with cheese mixture and meat sauce, then roll them up seam-side down in a casserole dish.
  5. Top with remaining meat sauce and reserved mozzarella cheese. Cover with foil and bake for about 40 minutes. Remove foil and broil for a few minutes until golden.
