  • 24 oz marinara sauce
  • 16 oz low-fat cottage cheese
  • 15 oz reduced-fat ricotta cheese
  • 4 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 9 cooked lasagna noodles (al dente)
  • 1 large egg

Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, sauté finely diced onion in olive oil until translucent. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant.
  2. Incorporate ground beef and cook until browned; drain excess fat if necessary.
  3. Stir in marinara sauce and grape juice or broth, along with seasonings. Simmer for about 15 minutes.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine cottage cheese, ricotta cheese, egg, and parsley.
  5. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). In a baking dish, layer meat sauce, noodles, and cheese mixture three times, ending with meat sauce on top.
  6. Top with mozzarella cheese and cover with foil. Bake for 30 minutes; remove foil and bake another 20 minutes until bubbly.
  7. Let cool for 10 minutes before slicing.
