  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup sliced mushrooms (Optional; omit them if you don't want them.)
  • 14.5 oz canned diced tomatoes (Drained)
  • 1 tablespoon mustard (Adjust to taste or omit if desired.)
  • 1 1/2 cups grated cheddar cheese
  • 1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
  • 12 Hawaiian Sweet Rolls (Or slider buns.)
  • 1 cup grated mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tablespoon butter (Melted.)
  • sesame seeds
  • cooking oil spray
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar or sweetener
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 2 teaspoons dried minced onions
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (Optional for spicy.)
  • 2 garlic cloves (Minced or use 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, spray cooking oil and brown the ground beef over medium heat until fully cooked.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine drained diced tomatoes, mustard, minced garlic, onion powder, smoked paprika, dried minced onions, salt, pepper, brown sugar or sweetener, and cayenne pepper (if using). Mix well.
  4. Cut Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally and place the bottom halves in a greased baking dish. Spoon the beef mixture evenly over the rolls and top with cheddar and mozzarella cheeses.
  5. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for about 15 minutes or until cheeses are melted. Remove foil, brush tops with melted butter, sprinkle sesame seeds on top, and bake uncovered for an additional 10 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Slice into individual sliders and serve warm.
