Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 rack chicken ribs
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 ½ teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup water
  • ½ cup BBQ sauce (plus more for serving)

Instructions

  1. Remove the membrane from the back of the chicken ribs using a butter knife and paper towel.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, salt, and black pepper. Rub this mixture over both sides of the chicken ribs.
  3. Pour 1 cup of water into the Instant Pot and place the metal trivet inside.
  4. Arrange the seasoned chicken ribs on top of the trivet, standing them up with bones facing up and down.
  5. Securely close the Instant Pot lid, set to sealing position, and pressure cook for 25 minutes.
  6. Allow natural pressure release for about 15 minutes before switching to quick release for any remaining pressure.
  7. Transfer ribs to a foil-lined baking sheet, brush with additional BBQ sauce, and broil in the oven for 3-6 minutes until browned.
  8. Serve hot with extra BBQ sauce.
