  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 6 tablespoons water (for the walnuts)
  • 1 cup walnuts (halved)
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup honey (for the sauce)
  • 2 tablespoons plain yogurt

Instructions

  1. Prepare the candied walnuts by heating honey and water in a small saucepan until thickened. Coat walnut halves and spread them on parchment paper to cool.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix mayonnaise, honey, and yogurt to create the sweet sauce.
  3. In shallow dishes, combine cornstarch with salt and pepper; whisk egg with water in another dish. Dip each shrimp in cornstarch, egg mixture, then back to cornstarch for extra crunch.
  4. Fry shrimp in hot vegetable oil until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per side. Drain on wire rack.
