  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 medium onion (finely chopped)
  • 15 oz tomato sauce
  • 6 oz tomato paste
  • 14.5 oz diced tomatoes (drained)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 2 cups elbow macaroni
  • 1 & 1/2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and finely chopped onions; cook until the beef is no longer pink.
  2. Stir in the tomato sauce, tomato paste, and drained diced tomatoes. Season with garlic salt, chili powder, oregano, basil, and pepper; allow to simmer for about 15 minutes.
  3. Meanwhile, boil water in a separate pot and cook the elbow macaroni according to package directions until al dente. Drain well.
  4. Mix the cooked macaroni into the sauce mixture in your skillet until thoroughly combined.
  5. Gradually stir in shredded cheddar, mozzarella, and Parmesan cheese over low heat until melted and creamy.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with fresh herbs if desired.
