  • 2 cups white vinegar

  • 2 tablespoons sea salt

Instructions

  1. Thinly slice the red onions using a sharp knife and divide them between 2–3 sterilized jars.
  2. In a saucepan, combine white vinegar, water, cane sugar, and sea salt. Heat over medium heat until the sugar and salt dissolve completely.
  3. Allow the brine to cool slightly before pouring it over the sliced onions until fully submerged.
  4. Let the jars cool uncovered at room temperature for about 30 minutes. Once cooled, seal tightly and refrigerate.
  5. The pickled onions will be ready to enjoy after one hour but taste even better after resting overnight.
