Ingredients

  • Slider buns (12-count package)
  • Unsalted butter
  • Yellow onion
  • Fresh thyme leaves
  • Grated garlic
  • Granulated sugar
  • Salt and black pepper
  • Thinly sliced deli roast beef
  • Swiss cheese
  • French onion soup
  • Water
  • Au Jus mix

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, melt 4 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add sliced onions, sugar, salt, pepper, thyme (2 teaspoons), and half the garlic; sauté until caramelized.
  3. In a bowl, combine sliced roast beef with remaining thyme (1 teaspoon), garlic, French onion soup, water, and Au Jus mix; stir well.
  4. In a baking dish, layer the bottom half of slider buns with Swiss cheese, followed by the beef mixture and caramelized onions. Top with remaining Swiss cheese and place on top buns.
  5. Brush tops with melted butter from step two; cover with foil and bake for 15 minutes. Remove foil in the last few minutes for a crispy finish.
