  • 1/4 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 egg (beaten)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons onion powder
  • 1 ½ teaspoons Italian seasoning
  • 2 packets brown gravy mix
  • 8 ounces sliced mushrooms
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, bread crumbs, beaten egg, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper until mixed.
  2. Shape the mixture into four equal patties about 3/4 inch thick.
  3. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the patties for about 3 minutes on each side until browned.
  4. Remove the patties and cover to keep warm.
  5. Sauté sliced mushrooms in the same skillet for about 5-6 minutes until tender.
  6. Gradually stir in brown gravy mix with water and whisk until smooth; add ketchup.
  7. Return patties to skillet, simmering for 7-10 minutes until fully cooked (internal temp should reach 160°F).
  8. Adjust seasoning as needed and garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
