  • Italian seasoned breadcrumbs
  • Whole milk
  • Ground beef
  • Ground chicken
  • Egg
  • Fresh parsley
  • Garlic
  • Kosher salt
  • Black pepper
  • Dried oregano
  • Red pepper flakes
  • Butter
  • Yellow onion
  • Jalapeño pepper (optional)
  • Pizza dough
  • Pizza sauce or marinara
  • Monterey Jack cheese
  • Sharp cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F. Soak breadcrumbs in milk for 5 minutes.
  2. Sauté diced onion in olive oil until softened; let cool.
  3. Mix soaked breadcrumbs with ground beef, ground chicken, egg, parsley, garlic, salt, pepper, oregano, and red pepper flakes. Form into 24 small meatballs.
  4. Bake meatballs on a lined baking sheet at 400°F for 15–17 minutes.
  5. Grease a springform pan and increase oven temperature to 450°F.
  6. Sauté onions and jalapeños in butter until golden; add garlic and seasoning.
  7. Roll pizza dough into an 11-inch circle and press into the pan to form the crust.
  8. Spread pizza sauce on the dough; layer meatballs with sautéed onion mix and cheeses on top.
  9. Bake for about 20 minutes until crust is golden; bake an additional 5–7 minutes if necessary.
  10. Cool for 10–15 minutes before serving.
