  • Salt, pepper, garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • 1 tbsp ranch seasoning
  • 1 tbsp Montreal Steak seasoning
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • Onion buns
  • Cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Season the chuck roast with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and sear the roast until browned on all sides (about 5-7 minutes).
  3. Transfer the seared roast to a crockpot and add beef broth, ranch seasoning, Montreal Steak seasoning, minced garlic, and sliced onions.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours.
  5. Once cooked, remove the roast using tongs and shred it with two forks.
  6. Mix in additional sauce if desired.
  7. Assemble sandwiches by placing shredded beef on onion buns topped with onions and cheddar cheese; broil until cheese melts.
