  • 2 pounds top sirloin steak (thinly sliced)
  • 1 medium red bell pepper (sliced)
  • 1 medium green bell pepper (sliced)
  • 1 medium white onion (sliced)
  • 1 beef bouillon cube
  • 1¾ cups hot water
  • 6 hoagie buns
  • 6 slices provolone cheese
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning

Instructions

  1. In a measuring cup, mix the beef bouillon cube with hot water. Stir in Worcestershire sauce, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning.
  2. Place sliced beef, red and green bell peppers, and onion into the crockpot. Pour the broth mixture over the top and stir gently.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours until the beef is tender.
  4. Preheat oven to 400°F. Butter hoagie bun cut sides and bake until golden (about 5 minutes).
  5. Fill each toasted bun with the beef mixture and top with provolone cheese. Return to the oven until cheese melts (about 3 minutes). Serve warm.
