  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 loaf of thick-sliced brioche bread (16 ounces)
  • 3 tablespoons butter

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together heavy cream, salt, egg yolks, granulated sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
  2. In another bowl, combine the remaining egg yolks with heavy cream, milk, and vanilla; set aside.
  3. Slice the brioche into thick pieces and dip each slice into the crème brûlée mixture until fully coated.
  4. Preheat a griddle over medium heat and melt butter. Cook each slice for about 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown.
  5. Place cooked slices on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and sprinkle evenly with granulated sugar.
  6. Use a kitchen torch to caramelize the sugar until golden and allow to cool slightly before serving.
