  • 12 medium button or cremini mushrooms
  • Olive oil spray
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup fresh breadcrumbs
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/2 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped green onions
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons chopped Italian parsley
  • 1 cup cooked shelled crab meat (or your preferred protein)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F.
  2. Clean the mushrooms and lightly spray with olive oil. Arrange cap side down on a baking sheet.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, breadcrumbs, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, green onions, Parmesan cheese, parsley, and crab meat. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Fill each mushroom cap with about 1 ½ tablespoons of the filling.
  5. Bake for approximately 20 minutes until golden brown. Optionally broil for the last minute for extra browning.
