  • 5 ounces crab meat (or substitute with chicken)
  • 4 ounces cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 green onion (finely sliced)
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce (optional)
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 18 wonton wrappers
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Preheat oil in a wok or deep frying pan to 325°F.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine crab meat, cream cheese, green onion, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce (if using), and garlic powder. Mix until smooth.
  3. Take three wonton wrappers at a time and place about two teaspoons of filling in the center of each. Dab the edges with water to seal.
  4. Fold opposite corners together to form triangles and secure the tips inward.
  5. Carefully fry the filled wontons for about two minutes or until golden brown. Drain on paper towels before serving.
