  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
  • ½ teaspoon dried oregano
  • 2 tablespoons salted butter

Instructions

  1. Assemble the sandwich by laying one slice of bread flat. Layer with turkey and pineapple, then sprinkle with ½ cup of shredded mozzarella and a pinch of oregano.
  2. Place the second slice of bread on top and generously sprinkle the remaining mozzarella over it.
  3. Heat a nonstick skillet over medium-high heat and melt butter to coat the pan.
  4. Carefully add the sandwich with the cheese side facing up and cook for 3-5 minutes until golden brown.
  5. Flip the sandwich using a spatula, cooking until the other side is crispy and all cheese is melted (another 3-5 minutes).
  6. Let cool for 30 seconds, then slice diagonally and serve warm.
